For your consideration today, we have a vintage Stone Case Company hardshell case fit for ES style guitars. Throughout Gibson’s golden years in the 1950’s, there were only a few companies that were making cases for the iconic guitar brand. Among these manufacturers was Stone Case Company. Often confused for Lifton, other companies like Stone and Geib were using the same general specifications, but each with their own slight differences.
This particular case is in remarkable shape for its age and still functions properly. All five latches work and everything appears to be original. The handle had been wrapped in tape some time ago to help preserve its integrity. The pink interior lining does show wear and some string imprints, but is still in very good shape overall. The original Stone Case Co. badge is still proudly adhered in the headstock pocket as well. If you’ve been searching for a real vintage case to compliment your prized 50’s era Gibson, this could be the one for you. Please reach out to us with any questions you may have, we’re here to help!
**Please note - as with most gear and especially vintage/boutique gear, consideration should be given to natural wear & tear, patina, finish crazing and inevitable repairs/ restoration work. We do our best to disclose and depict these points in our description, photos and general listings. If you're interested in this instrument or any other of our listings, please feel free to reach out and ask for any additional information or photos that will help better clarify any questions or concerns that you may have.**
