Manuel Adalid is well regarded as one of the most talented builders in the classical and flamenco world. As a second generation guitar maker and the head luthier at Esteve, his innovative designs combine comfortable playability with remarkable tone.
The “Viviana” was built specifically for Zavaleta’s La Casa De Guitarras in Tucson, Arizona back in 2012 and, to our knowledge, was never available elsewhere. According to Zavaleta’s, the Viviana “offers a concert quality sound at an affordable price. It is impeccably made-- and has the characteristics that professional flamenco players demand: power, projection, bright tone, great snappy rasp and burn, crisp firm basses, strident popping trebles, solid mid-range, and above all a low fast set up which makes this guitar a joy to play.”
This particular pre-owned Viviana is in excellent condition and plays incredibly well. Given its age, it seems like this guitar wasn’t played all that much and kept in great condition. There are some very minor (and expected) surface swirls that can be seen in certain light and one very small ding on the top below the bridge. The back of the neck is clean and plays very well. The frets are also in excellent condition and don’t show any pitting. If you have a need for a serious nylon string without spending serious nylon string money, this Viviana is here to scratch the itch!
The original Hardshell Case is included
