All of us here at Baltimore Music Company are honored and excited to be able to share this rare bird with you today! On the surface, we have a Gretsch Custom Shop Stephen Stills White Falcon built by master luthier at Gretsch, Stephen Stern. Previously owned by the incomparable Butch Walker, this White Falcon named “Rose” was played on a bunch of records by Green Day, Panic at the Disco, Weezer, Rayland Baxter, The Struts, and many others including Butch’s solo work!

The coolest part of Rose’s story is that she started her life as a custom shop one-off build for Neil Young himself! Butch said that he suspects that this guitar was built for Neil to use on the CSNY reunion tour, but Neil ended up sending it back since the tour didn’t happen.

The current caretaker has taken exceptional care of this beauty and has recently had the guitar Plek’d and setup in addition to reinstalling the pickguard and removing the “Rose” decal sticker from the top. The guitar is all original and comes with all of the factory case candy as well. This is hands down the nicest playing and sounding Gretsch we’ve ever had the pleasure to have in the shop and we look forward to sharing it with its next custodian.
