About Elisheva
Elisheva Pront is a vocal artist, teacher, and stage director who aims to cultivate a compassionate understanding of our humanity by creating relatable, and impactful art in collaborative environments. Elisheva teaches voice lessons, yoga classes, and directs opera and musical theatre. As a teacher, Elisheva values connection and discovery in collaborative learning. Leading with curiosity and playfulness, she encourages students to show up as they are.
As a performer, she particularly enjoys performing and devising new music, as well as collaborating with composers. Elisheva recently performed and premiered a new song at SongSLAM NYC 2024 at National Sawdust in Brooklyn, NY, and was the 2024 vocal fellow at New Music on the Point in Leicester, Vermont. Elisheva is one of the founders of a New Music/Opera collective in Baltimore, MD; TellTale Opera Theatre, which commissions local composers to write micro-Operas that experiment and push the bounds of what opera can be. As a stage director, Elisheva recently co-directed the musical Ordinary Days, in Baltimore, MD, and co-directed the premier of the Peabody LAUNCH Grant winning musical Senior Year is Gonna Kill Me, written by Ashna Pathan. She was also recently a Young Artist at Opera North, Assistant-Directing for their 2024 season in Lebanon, NH. Elisheva earned a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and earned a Master of Music in Vocal Performance at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University while studying with Professor Tony Arnold.
