If you’re a rock guitarist, you’ve heard Eruption. And if you’ve heard Eruption, then you’ve heard the Univox EchoChamber EC-80A. This tape delay unit can achieve a bunch of great sounds from a subtle slapback to mind-bending ambient repeats!

This particular unit is in great cosmetic condition for its age and comes with two of the original Apollon HD5000 cartridges. Functionally, the unit works great with the slight issue that the cartridges don’t seem to seat properly in the deck and can cause the delay effect to intermittently drop out. We think this may be caused by the cartridges being used and the foam under the tape has worn out a bit. Either replacing the foam or the cartridge altogether would probably alleviate the issue.
